Alumni Association Graduate Scholarship This scholarship is for a UT graduate pursuing a post-graduate degree (not a certification). The scholarship is based on financial need as well as campus and community involvement. Recipient may be full-time or part-time student. Prior recipients may reapply. Richard L. Bostleman Memorial Scholarship Presented to a graduate student who has successfully completed an undergraduate degree and participated for at least two years in NCAA level intercollegiate athletics at UT. Renewable provided the recipient is making satisfactory progress toward the degree (two years at master's level, three years at the doctoral level). Next available award will be in academic year 2008-2009. 2009-2010 Application currently unavailable. Please check at a later date.
Robert R. Buell Memorial Achievement Award This award is presented to a graduate student in any college who best exemplifies scholarly excellence in the physical and biological sciences, has maintained a genuine interest in the social sciences and the humanities, and plans a career in education. One applicant will receive a certificate plus a cash award. The amount varies each year depending upon available funds. In the past, award amounts have been $1,000.
Helen M. Fields Memorial Achievement Award This award is presented to a graduate student with an excellent academic record in the field of English or Education. One applicant will receive a certificate plus a cash award. The amount varies each year depending upon available funds. In the past, award amounts have ranged from $350 to $500.
Robert N. Whiteford Memorial Scholarship This award is presented to a graduate student to assist in research for the thesis, project or dissertation and further the student’s professional development. One applicant will receive a certificate plus a cash award. The amount varies each year depending upon available funds. In the past, award amounts have generally ranged between $300 to $400.
University Fellowship Primarily for entering Ph.D. students and those very early in their Ph.D. program who have exceptional academic records. It is the highest student award the Graduate School makes and provides a stipend for the academic year at the doctoral student level as defined by each departmental program, plus remission of instructional fees, out-of-state surcharge, general fees, student legal fee and an insurance subsidy for UT student health insurance. May be renewed for up to three years provided the student maintains an outstanding academic record and makes adequate progress toward the degree.

Daniel G. McNamara Memorial Award Scholarship for a graduate student in public administration with a high academic achievement and an interest in community service. Financial need is not a consideration. Only available to UT students. Students in this major will be automatically considered for this scholarship. No formal application is necessary.
Pi Kappa Alpha Memorial Book Scholarship Fund Applicants must be full-time UT students with a 2.5 GPA or higher and have financial need. Preference will be given (in order) to undergraduate students who are members of UT's Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity chapter, transfer undergraduate students who are members in good standing of a Pi Kappa Alpha chapter outside of Toledo, or graduate students who were members in good standing of UT's Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity chapter. Preference will also be given to children and/or close relatives of any Pi Kappa Alpha members who attended UT or who receives a written recommendation from a Phi Kappa Alpha who graduated from UT. Scholarship may be applied to books and supplies only and may be renewable for a second year. Toledo City Alumni Panhellenic Scholarship Scholarships for undergraduate students who are initiated members of any Panhellenic sorority at The University of Toledo. William A. Kneller Geology Graduate Support Fund Awards to promote graduate thesis research for students majoring in geology. May be given as grants for support of field work, laboratory work, travel to conferences, or as summer stipends. William H. Leckie Graduate History Fellowship Fund Scholarship to recognize the academic excellence of graduate students who currently have and are maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.75 in the graduate courses. First preference will be given to history graduate students who are fully admitted PhD candidates and second preference will be given to M.A. candidates. This fellowship is renewable for an additional year to recipients who maintain the academic requirements of the fellowship and continue to progress without interruption towards the completion of a dissertation. Nominations for this fellowship are by faculty only.
Robert & Noreen Stollberg Award Fund A cash award for sophomore, junior, senior or graduate students majoring in physics, astronomy, or the profession of science education. Edward Shapiro Economics Scholarship Scholarships based on merit for UT graduate or
undergraduate students majoring in economics. May be renewed

Scholarship Award in Applied German
Studies Graduate students at The University of Toledo
may apply for assistance for the following: study of German in
an approved program in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, or in an
approved program in the United States where total immersion in the
German language is assured; an approved internship or work
experience in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland; and research in
German-related areas, e.g., archival research, either abroad or
within the United States. Preference will be given to graduate
students in German and with regard to archival research to graduate
students in the Department of History. Students receiving an
award are expected to complete a degree at The University of Toledo.
College of Business Administration William & Marjorie Alexander Memorial Scholarship Scholarship for a finance major in his/her junior or senior year, or an MBA student in the College of Business Administration. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and Toledo area resident demonstrating financial need and academic merit. Great Lakes Marketing, Inc. Scholarship for a full-time sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in the College of Business majoring in marketing. Recipient shall be an Ohio resident or shall qualify for in-state tuition. Preference will be given to Toledo area high school graduates or residents of Northwest Ohio or Southeast Michigan. A GPA of 3.0 is desired but not mandatory. Scholarship is not renewable but past recipients may apply. Dr. J. Lee and Dr. Deborah A. Johnson Scholarship Scholarship for full-time master's or doctoral students at UT, who are majoring in EDAS or Higher Education Administration. Recipient must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher and must have completed the first semester of his or her degree program. Scholarship is not automatically renewable however, recipients may re-apply each year. Scholarship may be applied to any educational expense. Contact:

Lunt Family Scholarship This scholarship should be awarded to an aspiring sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in the College of Education who has achieved a 2.7 GPA or better. This scholarship may be used for all educational expenses and is renewable by determination of the College Scholarship Committee. Philip J. Rusche Emeriti Faculty Scholarship This scholarship shall be awarded to graduate students in the College of Education with a GPA of 3.5 or above. Applicants shall demonstrate a strong commitment to their professional field of study and provide leadership among college peers and professional colleagues in the school. John H. Russel Scholarship Awarded to a full-time graduate student in the department of educational leadership in, the College of Education. Preferably, candidates will come from the higher education program and will express an interest in pursuing a career in higher education following completion of their individualized programs of study. Applicants will be considered on the basis of their academic performance and the content of a written statement (not to exceed five pages) describing their aspirations in the field of higher education. Shew Music Education Scholarship Fund For an outstanding high school senior (entering freshman) majoring in music education with at least a 3.0 equivalent. Consideration will be given to students demonstrating extracurricular music activities (shows, concerts, etc.). Scholarships for students
who are majoring in science or mathematics in middle
childhood or adolescence to young adult education.
Students must be U.S. citizens or have documented
permanent residence status. Students need to be
admitted into the
Judith Herb
College of Education in order to
receive money. Scholarships are awarded based on merit
and financial need. A minimum 3.0 GPA or higher is
required for the merit scholarships. Upon review by the
UT3 Scholarship Committee, scholarships and aid are
automatically renewed if recipients continue to meet
criteria. Students who receive Financial Aid and Merit
Scholarships must agree to teach in a high-need school
in a high-need school district for the length of time
they receive financial support or they must repay the
money to the U.S. Department of Education. For more
