Dates & Deadlines in the UT Academic Year
October-December
If you are a high school senior, you should
apply for admission and
scholarships. Look into other
sources of aid at your high school guidance office, library,
employer, union, church, financial aid office, etc. UT will begin
awarding scholarships to accepted freshmen in December 2007.
January-February
The 2008-2009Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available
in your high school guidance office or college financial aid office. If
you were enrolled in college last year and meet certain conditions, you
may receive a Renewal Application in the mail. If you have Internet access,
file the FAFSA (or Renewal Application) at
http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
for better accuracy and faster processing time!
Be sure to list all potential colleges/universities in the Release Section.
The University of Toledo's Title IV code is 003131. The priority deadline for
UT to receive your processed FAFSA is April 1.
March
Receive the Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal processor and review
it for corrections. Read the front page very carefully! Submit any requested
documents (tax forms, etc) to the colleges/universities asking for that
information.
April
Begin receiving Award Notification from the colleges listed on the FAFSA. RESPOND
TO EACH college's offer as directed on their Award notification. By now you should
know where you will be attending in the fall.
May-August
Attend orientation and follow up on financial aid requirements for loans,
scholarships, work-study programs and request for additional information.
