STUDENT LOAN PROCESS
The University of Toledo will
continue to participate in both the William
D. Ford Federal Direct Student Loan Program
(DL) and the Federal Family Education Loan
Program (FFELP).
The
University of Toledo will maintain the
William D. Ford Federal Direct Student Loan
Program (DL) for undergraduate students.
The above link will provide ‘next steps’
for undergraduate Stafford Loan borrowers
and for parent borrowers using the Parent
PLUS Loan program.
Graduate/Professional Students
If you have received a
bachelor’s degree AND are now seeking a
master’s, doctorate, or professional degree
you will complete the following process to
receive your federal loans.
The University of
Toledo participates in both the Federal
Direct Loan Program and the Federal Family
Education Loan Program (FFELP). For 2008-09
our graduate and professional students will
have the choice of programs for the Federal
Stafford (subsidized and unsubsidized) and
the Federal Grad PLUS loans. The links

programs and the steps to apply for each
program. A student may borrow from only one
of the two programs during the same academic
year.
