Blue and Gold Scholar Award The Blue and Gold Scholar Award will cover the cost of full tuition at UT, after state and federal aid. This scholarship recognizes students who are among the best of the best in several public school districts in the state of Ohio. Students graduating from public schools in the following districts are eligible for the Blue and Gold Scholar Award: • Akron Public Schools • Columbus Public Schools • Dayton Public Schools • Toledo Public Schools • Cincinnati Public Schools • Cleveland Public Schools To see a full list of qualifying schools in each district, visit utoledo.edu/admission/scholarships/bluegold.html. Minimum Requirements: • 3.0 H.S. GPA • File a FAFSA by April 1, 2009 & show Pell eligibility
Rocket Scholar Award This scholarship ranging from $1,500 to full tuition recognizes outstanding students in Ohio and Monroe County, Michigan. The award is customized and personalized for each student to give you the most for your unique academic and financial situation. We look at factors such as your high school GPA, highest composite test scores at the time of application, school curriculum, and first-generation status. Minimum Requirements: • 3.0 H.S. GPA & 20 ACT/950SAT
Tower Scholar award This scholarship offers up to $12,000 to out-of-state students. The Tower Scholar Award assists with the out-of-state surcharge and recognizes outstanding students from outside Ohio and Monroe County, Michigan. We look at factors such as your high school GPA and highest composite test scores at the time of application, need, school curriculum, and if your parent/legal guardian is an alumnus of UT (or the former MCO/MUO) — in addition to a competitive essay component — to come up with a scholarship award that can make UT as affordable as your in-state schools. Minimum Requirements: • 3.0 H.S. GPA or 21 ACT/990 SAT
Additional Scholarship Opportunities Presidential Scholarship This prestigious scholarship covers full in-state tuition, general fees (up to 16 credit hours), room and board, and provides a one-time, $3,000 stipend for a summer experience. To apply, you need to submit the required materials noted online www.utoledo.edu/admission/presidential (extracurricular resume, personal essay, and references) in addition to a completed application for undergraduate admission postmarked by Dec. 1, 2008. Students selected for an interview must be available to interview on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Minimum Requirements: • 3.8 H.S. GPA and 30 ACT/1340 SAT
Levis Leadership Scholarship A $1,000 scholarship for the first academic year is offered to 40 incoming freshman students accepted into the Levis Leadership UT Program. To apply, you need to fill out the form and submit the required materials (reference, essay, and transcript) at www.utoledo.edu/studentaffairs/osi/levi_scholar.html in addition to a completed application for undergraduate admission by January 5, 2009. Minimum Requirements: • 3.0 H.S. GPA and 20 ACT/950 SAT • Demonstrate potential for leadership
